Why is it that many Americans still don’t get it?
With the choice for the White House looming closer and closer, we are all aware of what or who the choices are. The problem, as I see it, is that there is so much conflicting information out there and it is difficult to separate the wheat from the straw, the corn from the cobb. This in itself could cause some Americans to make a choice that will take this nation down the road of larger government, higher taxes – for every one and a government which believes that it knows better than we who to run our own lives.
Senator Obama is just that candidate. He speaks of tax breaks and cuts for 95% of working Americans and higher taxes on those with incomes in excess $250k, individuals and business alike. Let’s look at this responsibly.
By cutting or not increasing the “Middle Class” tax burden that revenue must come from somewhere without reducing government spending. So, let’s hit up big business to cover the gap. Sounds like an easy fix, right? Not so fast! Do you really think that big business is going to take that hit as a loss? I don’t think so and if you do, you must have just crawled out from under a rock. These businesses that will feel this additional tax burden will do just the same thing they have done with increased manufacturing and transportation costs, and that is pass it down the line.
This brings me to my next point.
The size of an Obama government would be grown to it’s largest in history. His plan is to spend an additional 1 trillion to expand government run programs that have become ineffective because of the top end weight. And, where is this money going to come from? Yup, you guessed it, from me and you. Don’t let his rhetoric about tax cuts to 95% of the middle class fool you. We all will pay under Obama in the long run, unless, under his plan, we are all going to become employees of the federal government.
So let’s get this straight: Larger government to tell us where to get healthcare, where to go to school, what fuels we can use and where we can look for them and a host of other mandates for the free USA. What would come next, a repeal of our first amendment rights so that we could not speak out against the Obama Government?
I won’t even go down the road of Obama’s best buddies who are comprised of a terrorist or two, big business COEs who have bilked Americans out of their hard earned money and of course, lots of politicians who love to spend money to further their own interests and agendas. I’m sure that his planetarium buddy in his home town of Chicago will be looking for a six million dollar handout if Obama gets in.
And I said I wouldn’t go there. Oops!
Now let’s look at Senator McCain, a real American Hero. He has spent a lifetime serving this great country and pledges to continue doing so with honor and respect for Americans. McCain has put country first and his record, unlike Obama’s, shows it. He has a passion to lead and the compassion to it responsibly to re-strengthen America. He is dedicated to serving America with fiscal responsibility, oversight and pledging to reduce the size of government to reduce the excessive spending of the past. He has crossed party lines and has challenged his own party counterparts to do the right thing. He’s ruffled some feathers in his time and has no regrets for doing so.
Senator McCain has a solid plan to bring stability back to American in both the Wall St. and Main St. communities. He has been solid in his position since the beginning of his run for the White House with the only changes being that of adding further protection for middle income Americans against the rigors of coping with financial hardship. Senator McCain supports or military and or veterans. He understands the effects of war and is more qualified to lead our military as Commander and Chief.
Senator McCain’s choice for VP, Alaskan Governor Sara Palin, is more proof that McCain is a reformist. Palin has given so much back to the people of Alaska by cutting wasteful spending and unnecessary taxes. Palin also has a proven record of reform.
Together they are truly the only choice we have for the White House.
The other choice WILL be disastrous!
